SKYWARD SWOOOOOOORD
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword recently came out, and though I have yet to obtain it, I can already tell how amazing it is by friends tell me and reading articles like this. While game franchises go on, the games in the series sometimes get worse and worse there it gets to the point of everyone saying "Just stop already, you're embarrassing yourself." As for LoZ, they just get better and better. Skyward Sword is a great example of this, sayings being that it's better than Ocarina of Time which was previously titled as the best LoZ game.
Skyward Sword utilizes the Wii Motion Plus feature to make actual sword-fighting more realistic. It's a huge step up from the previous Twilight Princess for Wii by using this feature. You feel like you're actually the one fighting monsters, not controlling a guy fighting monsters. Overall, Skyward Sword is an awesome game and if you're a Legend of Zelda fan this is definitely a must-have.

Video Games = Creativity
A study has shown that if you play video games you are more likely to be more creative than those who don't. I would personally agree with this study. I myself play video games a lot more than I should I think myself to be very creative in situations. The vast world that video games produce can expand our minds to other things and let us recreate these worlds and incorporate them into real life creativeness.
Video games are the masters of creativity. Every game has a different story, different characters, etc. Because of this we can learn from them and let our creativity run wild and show it off in school or other places. People may say video games rot your brain, but it's actually making it grow, in the creative spots at least.

Smartphones and iPads can "mush" toddler's brains?
Link it up.
According to this article, the screens of your smartphones or iPads can hurt your toddlers' brains. It is said that you should keep their eyes away from TV screens if they're 2 or younger, but what about handheld screens? The American Academy of Pediatrics say they can do the same kind of damage as a TV screen. Though this may be true, how could you get away with interactive toys with screens and such? Wouldn't it be the same thing?
Personally, if you're going to let a toddler play with a toy meant for it with a screen, there shouldn't be any problems with them watching TV or an iPad. If the danger was that bad they wouldn't market off those kinds of toys. If it keeps them entertained and happy, let them watch their shows.

Will Ferrell is Awesome
Yo dawg here's a link.
Funny man Will Ferrell recently won the Mark Twain prize for American Humor from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts last Sunday. This prize was well awarded, and I believe he deserves it well. Will Ferrell has always been one of my favorite comedic actors and this just goes to show how funny he is. I've seen almost all his movies and they're all hilarious. His SNL skits are a riot as well.
It was actually his George W. Bush impression he did on SNL that sealed the deal. It went on to be an act on Broadway and be a huge success. His website FunnyorDie.com is always a big input on his career and the winning of this award. All in all, Will Ferrell is an amazingly funny man and deserved every piece of this award more than any other.

TERRA NURRRRRRRRVA is bad.
My final thoughts on Terra Nova? Terra Bada is more like it. Zing~
But no really. This show wasted so much money and resources. It had so much potential and they didn't use it the way the should. Bad acting, bad storylines, just bad. It's really disappointing, because I had such high hopes for this show and it failed me. I will not continue watching this show, and i'm glad I don't have to. I can't take the terribleness that is Terra Nova much longer, especially when I anticipated this show so much before. Terra Nova had so many directions they could have gone with this, and they took one of the worst routes. This show will recieve the official Mark of Fail, enforced upon by myself.
TERRA NURRRRRRRVA WHAT REMAINS YEAH!
So the new episode of Terra Nova aired this week. And what are my thoughts on it? Absolutely apalling. It was another episode based around one huge problem that they were able to solve by the end of the episode. In another words, 1-2 days show-time. It's gotten so unoriginal it's just plain bad. And they're not even scared of the dinoaurs anyore hardly, and they just got there, it's only the third episode. The whole concept of the episode wasn't even good. It makes me glad this was the last episode I have to watch, because this show was a complete waste. Don't get me wrong, the scenery and special effects are great, but the acting and storyline went from good to bad all within 3 episodes.

TERRA NURRRRRRVA INSTINCT YEAH!
The second episode of Terra Nova, titled Instinct, was..well let's just say not as good as the pilot. Actually, nowhere near as good. In the episode, the Terra Novians or what have you, encountered a serious problem. And solved it. Within the same episode. That kind of plot line for an episode, makes me think of a cartoon. One thing happens, that thing gets solved, the end we're happy yay. But for a live action TV series like this, it's just unacceptable. It should take 2-3 episodes to solve something like that, to cover more story and make it a better series. And some scenes were just awful, like forgetting the most important person you're trying to protect in a room with a bunch of "angry birds". How could you possibly forget that, did you expect the little girl to turn into a giant crime-fighting robot and fire phazor beams at the pterosaurs and save herself? And then there's the typical last second save of the dangerous situation. Terra Nova, be more original. I know you have the potential. Hopefully the nest episode will show better results.
TERRA NURRRRRRVA GENESIS YEAH!
The first episode of Terra Nova was fantastic in my opinion. I picked this show at first because dinosaurs are awesome and one of my favorite things ever. And I figured most of the show would revolve around them. But through the first episode, I can tell there's more to that. And i'm okay with that. Because every show needs a more in-depth story than just going into the past and fighting dinosaurs. There was the introduction of Sixxers, the primary humanoid antagonists, along with strange writings which the writer of is unknown. There are so many questions to be asked, and I can't wait to see some of the answers. If I didn't have to watch this for Mass Media, i'd probably be watching it anyway, that's how super-cool it is. I honestly can't wait for more.

TERRA NURRRRRVA
I chose to watch Terra Nova. It airs on Fox from 8:00pm-9:00pm, starting September 26th. I chose this show for many reasons. For one it just seems really awesome. The story just highly interests me. Also, it has dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are super cool. For obvious reasons. I saw a preview for it awhile ago, and as soon as I did I wanted to watch it. Watching it for school is a win-win situation. I'm really excited for it, and I feel it could be a real success.

Computer-Generated Articles vs. Human Journalists
This is the article involved with this post. :D
Computer-generated articles have recently been used to create news for the people. This leaves the question as to how human journalists will continue on, as they might be replaced by this new software. Personally I think they have nothing to worry about. A person's personal opinion is more interesting than some technology that rambles on about the same thing and just giving straight facts. A journalist can get up front and personal with the incident and get quotes or add in personal experiences.
A human journalist can also get facts wrong and exaggerate what really happened, when a computer can give it straight forward as to what exactly happened. Computers are basically all-knowing and therefore can get all the facts right in an articles posts. It just lacks the personal opinions/experiences. So I believe that both will always be around, providing the news to people who want interesting stories and those who want facts.

Birds = Dinosaurs?
This shows what scientists think of birds being dinosaurs.
I find that this idea could go both ways, It's true that many dinosaurs developed feathers at some point in time and some even share a similar bone structure.I believe that birds may have evolved from certain dinosaurs that lived millions of years ago, but birds today are most certainly not. Dinosaurs are more reptilian than avian in general, which is why I think they evolved.
Dinosaurs that had feathers even showed more reptilian traits, being scales or sharp teeth.Thought it is true the bone structure is similar, bone structures can change over time to accommodate the situation at hand. This is all reason to believe as to why birds evolved from dinosaurs, but are not dinosaurs themselves.
