Birds = Dinosaurs?
This shows what scientists think of birds being dinosaurs.
I find that this idea could go both ways, It's true that many dinosaurs developed feathers at some point in time and some even share a similar bone structure.I believe that birds may have evolved from certain dinosaurs that lived millions of years ago, but birds today are most certainly not. Dinosaurs are more reptilian than avian in general, which is why I think they evolved.
Dinosaurs that had feathers even showed more reptilian traits, being scales or sharp teeth.Thought it is true the bone structure is similar, bone structures can change over time to accommodate the situation at hand. This is all reason to believe as to why birds evolved from dinosaurs, but are not dinosaurs themselves.

In responce to shanes post, i to agree that dinasaurs and birds have many similar features. But lets not forget there extreame differences between one another. Dinasaurs for the most part are much larger than the average bird today. We can say the chicken has similar bone structure than a t-rex but that doesnt have much proof backing it up. The only way i believe that birds are descendants from the once mighty dinsaurs is that over long periods of time dinsaurs developed avain traits until eventually they became more like modern day birds. signed, ryan p.
